A plain-language summary of how staying with Velare works. The rental agreement you sign at booking is the governing document.

Booking & your stay

Check-in is after 4:00 PM and checkout is by 11:00 AM, with self check-in by smart lock. Stay minimums are based on calendar availability, with mostly two-night minimums, and three-night minimums over holidays; although a few one-night stays may be available at Whispering Ridge. Early check-in (from 2:00 PM) or late checkout (until 12:00 PM) may be available with advance approval and a $50 fee each, confirmed the day before your stay. Only registered guests may be on the property, and the booking guest must be present during the stay. A short rental agreement is part of every booking, and we may occasionally ask for a quick identity check.

Cancellations & changes

Cancel 30 or more days before check-in for a full refund, and up to 14 days before check-in for a 50% refund, both subject to a 3% processing fee; after that, bookings are non-refundable. Date changes are possible once per reservation when requested more than 30 days before check-in, subject to availability and rate differences. We can’t refund for weather, road conditions, or outages, so we recommend travel insurance for peace of mind.

Dogs

Dogs are family at Velare. Every home welcomes up to three well-behaved dogs with prior authorization and a $100 non-refundable pet fee per dog, added at booking. House rules for pups: bathroom breaks outdoors, off the furniture and counters, crated if left alone, and out of the pool at Oakmere Grove.

Caring for the home

All Velare homes are smoke-free: no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property. No parties, events, or visitors beyond your booked group, and no fireworks. Quiet hours at Oakmere Grove run 10:00 PM–7:00 AM out of respect for the neighborhood. Our homes are child-friendly but not childproofed, so please keep little ones close.

Safety & privacy

For everyone’s security, each home has a video doorbell and exterior-only cameras at entrances and driveways. There are never any recording devices inside our homes.

Payments

Direct bookings are processed securely through our booking engine. Your full total (nightly rate, cleaning fee, and tax) is always shown before you pay.
